Son of an artist and engineer, Chris is wired differently!

Chris started professional life in marketing agencies where he directed major campaigns for household names, picking up an IPA effectiveness award for his talents. After becoming a specialist in ‘through the line’ marketing he decided he could create better products himself so went to work clientside for Argos and B&Q. Working in retail taught Chris about detail, scale, meeting customer needs and the fastest operating pace. 

Chris has always had an entrepreneurial streak and has continually built business, from a childhood enterprise of fizzy milk to a £500m retail finance business. 

Chris believes that real creativity is bringing something into the world that didn’t exist before, so he was strongly drawn to the emerging discipline of innovation. Working for one of the UK’s leading innovation and growth consultancies Chris has driven success for major FTSE-100 players such as Google, Nuffield Health, DHL, Fitness First, BAE Systems, British Gas, BT, Alcatel Lucent, Les Mills and Centrica.
